Become a fan of Love Meow’s Facebook page to see heartwarming stories about cats. One feline experienced a significant transformation from being a stray cat to becoming the ultimate cuddle buddy for kittens. It seems like he found the perfect spot to call his own.
A foster home became a new beginning for an orange and white feline who had been living on the streets, struggling to stay alive for almost two years. The cat was understandably apprehensive and quickly retreated to a hiding spot upon arrival. It took some time for the cat to become comfortable with the new environment and gradually adapt to the surroundings. With the help of his foster mom, the cat started to become more outgoing and sociable.
Mickey, a feline who was once homeless, was saved by the kind folks at St. Francis Society Animal Rescue and is now resting comfortably indoors. Kristen Sterner, his foster mom, provided him with ample time and space to destress and assured him that he was truly cherished. After just one day with Mickey, Kristen felt an unbreakable bond with the cat and it seemed as though he was communicating with her through his stunning green eyes.
Mickey gradually unwound and settled in, locating a cozy bed where he could knead in bliss. Once he was prepared to mingle, Kristen brought him to meet a couple of foster kittens. Before long, he took them under his care, lavishing them with baths and snuggles.
The little felines seemed to be fascinated by his presence, tagging along wherever he went like he was their guardian. He didn’t mind when they climbed on top of him, nibbled on his ears or engaged in friendly bouts with his paws. Being surrounded by cute and cuddly kittens made him feel ecstatic, and the tiny ones were delighted to have someone to emulate.
@widdlekittenclub shared that Mickey was adopted by a kind family when they were searching for his forever home. The family tried their best to make him feel comfortable, but Mickey kept hiding under the bed for several weeks, suggesting that he was missing something. Kristen, who spoke to Love Meow, mentioned that she assured the family that if things did not work out, they could bring Mickey back as their objective was to find the right fit for him.
Upon Mickey’s return to his foster home, Kristen presented him with a cozy “kitty cave” for him to retreat to whenever he desired comfort. Kristen treated Mickey with kindness, talking to him in a soothing tone and petting him gently. After some time elapsed, Mickey warmed up to her approach. As more foster kittens arrived, Mickey became interested in their presence, and when the young ones were given a clean bill of health, they met with him.
@widdlekittenclub shared that they initially thought their cat, Mickey, would be okay with the kittens due to his sweet and gentle nature. To their surprise, Mickey turned out to be an amazing caretaker for the kittens, showing them love and cuddles. He even took on the role of their guardian, keeping a watchful eye on them as they played and ensuring they stayed safe.
The little felines were immediately drawn to him and would snuggle up to him whenever he groomed them or embraced them. Mickey has an innate ability to sense what the kittens require and will lavish them with attention for as long as they desire. After one of the kittens sadly passed away, he sat with Kristen in an attempt to console her.
Kristen from @widdlekittenclub revealed that they decided to adopt a cat who had chosen them and their home. It was impossible for them to resist his charm, and they felt honored that he felt safe and loved in their presence. Now, he gets to help Kristen care for the kittens, and it’s amazing to see all the kittens pile on top of him for a cuddle puddle. It’s a truly extraordinary sight.
