Sometimes, having a unique appearance can make you stand out. This was the case for Angel, a cat who was not treated kindly by other felines in the shelter due to her perpetually angry expression. While volunteering at the Chittenden County Humane Society, Kaetlyn Koch came across a photo of Angel being kept in an employee’s office to protect her from further attacks. Koch felt drawn to meet Angel and decided to take her home as her own pet. Angel was given a new name – Loki Kitteh – and quickly became famous for her unusual appearance. Despite not initially planning on adopting a cat, Koch couldn’t resist meeting Loki Kitteh and giving her a loving home.
After being introduced to her, the story took a turn and became history. Koch recalled being taken to the office where she was shown a drawer that revealed a displeased-looking cat. The feline was timid and retreated to the back of the drawer while glaring at Koch with its big blue eyes. The staff explained that she was selective in showing affection to specific employees and treated her with some snacks before letting her retreat back to the darkness of the drawer. However, the following day she took home an adorable vampire cat, which she named Loki Kitteh.
Taking inspiration from Norse mythology, the name Loki was chosen for a shelter cat who had fierce fangs and an adorable grimace, rather than calling her an angel. Despite being initially shy, she quickly became affectionate and cuddly once she adjusted to her new environment and learned to trust her cat mom. According to Koch, Loki is now the most loving and snuggly pet she has ever had.
Loki Kitteh is said to be doing well and has excellent eyesight, despite the fact that she always sleeps with one eye partially open. It actually adds to her charm, making her seem even more like a feline vampire. Not much is known about Loki’s past, as she was adopted by her owner when she was only eight years old. But that doesn’t stop her loving owner from spoiling her in every way possible. Whether or not Loki’s history remains a mystery, her adorable appearance and loving personality make her a beloved family member.
